A water feature is sometimes wanted only for its splash, sound and light. However, that pool of water surrounding it is not always appreciated. It may collect debris, cause liability concerns, be thouht to look bad when drined for the winter, and make its space useless for anything else.

A "dry-deck" or "zero-depth" fountain may be the answer to these concerns, but that type of feature can have potential drawbacks if designed and built improperly.

Can you hide the water under the deck? in the past this has been done, but this design approach has a number of inherent problems. For example, a supported deck structure is an elaborate and expensive construction process.
